Flexible payment options: online, offline, and in-person for seamless transactions

Updated over 3 months ago

Once your order has been confirmed, the next step is to collect the payment. WizCommerce offers a variety of payment options for your customers to choose from.

You can give your customers the flexibility to pay online or in person. In this section, we'll explore all the payment methods available.

1. Select/Add Card

The first method is the 'Select/Add Card' option. You can either charge a card that was pre-saved for a customer at the time of customer creation or, if your customer prefers to pay with a new card, you can add a new card as well.

Here are the steps:

  1. When taking payment for an order, you will see a "Collect Payment" button.  Click on it.

  2. You will see the option to select an existing card or add a new card.

  3. Select from the list of available cards. Or add a new card

  4. Click on "Charge."

The amount will be deducted from the customer’s card, and they will receive an email notification about the deduction. Additionally, you can share the payment invoice with the customer.

2. Send Payment Link

Another way to collect payment online without using a credit card is through a payment link. Follow these steps:

  1. Click on the “Collect Payment” option.

  2. Choose the “Payment Link” option.

  3. Enter the customer's email address.

  4. Click on "Send Link."

This will generate a payment link that you can share with the customer on their email ID. They can use this link to make the payment securely.

3. Collect Offline

The third option to collect payment is to do so offline. This means if your customer has already paid or is going to pay in person, either by check, credit card, or cash, you can record that information here.

Here are the steps:

  1. Click on the “Collect Payment” option.

  2. Choose "Collect Offline" from the options.

  3. Select the payment method from the dropdown.

  4. Enter the collection date for the record.

This allows you to keep track of offline payments for accurate record-keeping.

4. Tap/Swipe Card

This method is handy when collecting payments in person (such as at trade shows.) We provide you with the hardware (physical device) to accept payments via card tap/swipe.

Here are the steps:

1. Click on the “Collect Payment” option.

2. Click "Charge."

The terminal requests the amount you selected, and the customer can pay by tapping or swiping their card.

5. Credits

You can also use available credits to collect the payment. If you see ‘available credits’ in the customer’s account, you can check with your customer and use these credits to collect the payment.

Here are the steps:

  1. Click on the “Collect Payment” option.

  2. Check the box labeled "Use available credits."

The system will automatically deduct the necessary credits from your account for payment.
