Categories are the organizational structure that groups similar products together, making it easier for customers and team members to find and manage items within your catalog. By assigning products to specific categories, you create a logical and intuitive browsing experience on your platform, which enhances user navigation and improves the overall efficiency of your product management.
To ensure a smooth product upload process, it is recommended to start by uploading your product categories first. This step guarantees that the newly created categories are available in the drop-down menu of the Excel sheet when you add product details.
WizCommerce makes it simple to upload your products categories using an Excel file. You have two options:
Export and Import: You can export your existing product category data, make changes directly in the Excel sheet, and then import it back into the platform.
Use the Provided Template: Alternatively, you can download the new template provided by WizCommerce, customize it as needed, and import your products categories seamlessly.
Import
Steps :
Navigate to the Import/Export section from the left panel
Click on Categories
Then click on Import
Download the template Excel
Edit the Data Sheet tab on the Excel
Save the Excel sheet
Now, again click on Import
Choose the edited Excel, and click on Next
Select the column headers on the sheet
Click on Next; you will need to map the template fields to the columns
Again click on Next, verify the data, make rectifications if required
Click on Submit
Now, select from "Add only," "Update," and "Add & Update"
Click on Confirm
The categories are now uploaded on the platform.
Export
Steps:
Navigate to the Import/Export section from the left panel
Click on “Categories”
Then click on Export
Select the bell icon at the top right corner
Download the excel file
The categories excel file is now downloaded to your system.
