It's crucial to know how much of a product is available on the platform to avoid overselling or underselling. Always check the stock before informing customers about a product.
Here's how you can do it:
Go to the product section.
Click on the product you want to check.
Look for the "Available - X" option on the product details page (PDP)
Hover over the tooltip for detailed information about the product's stock. You will see detailed information like:
In stock
Reserved (units set aside for a particular purpose or customer)
Available (units available for sale after deducting the reserved units)
In transit (Units ordered and on the way)
On order (Units ordered)
These details give you an accurate and detailed view of your stock and streamline the selling process.
You can also accept backorders on the platform. To do this, contact the admin to have the settings configured. If your item is back-ordered, instead of "Available - X", you will see "Back order" and when you hover on the tooltip, you will details like how many units you are allowed to back order and "on order" and "in transit" units.
